2022-2023 Scranton High School Cheer Squad


Scranton School District will dismiss early and buses will leave school at 1:30 p.m. TODAY (Friday, 3/11) due to the rapid increase of incoming inclement weather.


Scranton School District is carefully montoring the weather and road conditions. Currently, temperatures are forecasted to hover just above freezing. Parents who are concerned about the threat of inclement weather may check their student out today (3/11) and the absence be excused. Parents may also call the office to have their high school student drivers released to go home. On-site instruction will continue and campus will remain open throughout the school day. Buses will run their normal routes after school. Stay warm and safe!


Baseball game added to schedule...Monday, March 14, at Waldron beginning at 5 p.m.


The baseball game scheduled on Friday, March 11, at Magazine has been canceled due to the threat of incoming inclement weather.

Update #2 on today's baseball game...it is now going to be played on April 5.


The baseball game today (3/8) against Western Yell has been moved to tomorrow (3/9), same time and place.


The elementary Read-A-Thon is still going strong! Remember to keep reading and logging minutes all the way through March 13.

Mrs. Hammer's first grade class had special guest, Jamison Fritsche, read to them for Dr. Seuss week!



Tomorrow is dress like a book character day!! Elementary students dressed up will be in the book parade at 10:30 Friday morning. They will parade through the elementary and then through the high school. Cannot wait to see all the characters!!

February Rise Above Rocket: Corbin Green
Corbin Green is in the second grade at Scranton Elementary School. He was nominated by his teacher Athena Harrison. Mrs. Harrison said, βCorbin is very polite, respectful, and works hard. He is the first one to offer help to a classmate and goes above and beyond to be a good friend to others.β

Februaryβs Rise Above Rocket: Bentley Koenigseder
Bentley Koenigseder is in the third grade at Scranton Elementary School. He was nominated by his teacher Angela Jones. Mrs. Jones said, βBentley has been working hard every day in class. He always does his best and is willing to help others around him.β

She takes my trash out every single day, and is eager to help me with anything that needs to be done in the classroom. She helps her classmates daily, and is a good friend.β
