Izabella Kuykendall is in the fourth grade at Scranton Elementary. She was nominated by her teacher Laura Murray. Mrs. Murray said, βBella is always so sweet and helpful to me and other students. Parker Bauer is in second grade at Scranton Elementary. He was nominated by his teacher Jessica Wilson. Mrs. Wilson said, βParker is very hard working in class. He displays excellent manners to teachers and students. He is a friend to everyone in the class and wants to see everyone succeed. He is always eager to work with struggling students. He is very organized and helps the students around him stay organized. He always does his best, and wants to know what he did wrong and learn from his mistakes.β Congratulations to Parker Bauer for his excellent manners, and his drive to always work hard no matter what.

SHS Rocket baseball district tournament this week at County Line has been moved up a day. The Rockets will play in the first round on Wednesday (4/27) at 6 p.m. If we win on Wednesday, we will play in the championship game on Thursday (4/28) at 4 p.m.

Thank you to Scott Boone, Clayton Dodson, and Cindy Hall for speaking to second grade about their careers. Students were able to see real equipment that these parents use on the job and ask questions. SES wants to give a big thank you to all that participated in career day!

Congratulations to one of SHS's math teachers, Mrs. Kimberly Griffin, on being awarded the Arkansas High School Teacher of the Year 2021-2022 by the Oklahoma-Arkansas Section of the Mathematical Association of America. Mrs. Griffin does an outstanding job and we are proud she is a Rocket!
