Limited Bus Routes for Monday, February 2, 2026
Bus 1: Hwy 197 to Subiaco driven by White/Schluterman - will NOT travel any dirt roads, will run to Logan County Bank at Subi and back to school. Pickup at bank at 9:15am.
Bus 2: Hwy 109 to Morrison Bluff to Patterson Bluff Rd driven by Cook/Blamey - will run normal route.
Bus 3: Hwy 197 to Dublin driven by Schouweiler - will NOT travel any dirt roads, will run to the Garrison Road turnaround and back to school. Meet at Garrison Road corner at 9:10 a.m.
Bus 4: Hwy 22 to Dinner Bucket driven by Strobel/Coronado - will NOT travel any dirt roads, will run down Hwy 22 to Dinner Bucket and back to school. Meet at Dinner Bucket at 9:15 a.m.
Bus 5: Hwy 109 to Midway driven by Miller - will run normal route.

Senior high games at Magazine Friday postponed.

SSD will be closed on Friday, January 30, due to the icy conditions that remain. Mr. Cook hopes to see everyone next week!

Apply Today: Trip to our Nation's Capital - Youth Tour - Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative Corporation
Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative Corporation (AVECC) will select high school juniors to participate in the 2025 Youth Tour, an all-expenses-paid educational trip to Washington, D.C., June 14-21, 2026. Students selected will receive a $500 scholarship from AVECC as well as an opportunity to earn a $5,000 scholarship from the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas. Applications are now available to all high school juniors enrolled whose parents or guardians are AVECC members.
Youth Tour is a leadership-based opportunity for students to connect with their community and cooperative. The selected students will represent AVECC as they join students from electric cooperatives across the nation in Washington, D.C., to learn about cooperatives' impact on rural communities. Students will have an opportunity to meet Arkansasβ congressional delegation, and visit historic sites, such as the National Mall, the Smithsonian Institution, Arlington National Cemetery, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the U.S. Capitol.
At its core, Youth Tour is a grassroots campaign to bring awareness to the endless opportunities available to the next generation of rural leaders.
Applications available January 1, 2026 - February 15, 2026.
