Congratulations to Rocket Swimmers, Matthew and Isabel Shelton, on placing in the State Swim Meet today! Matthew placed 3rd in the 100 Butterfly as well as 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke, clocking a personal best time today in Breaststroke. Isabel finished 7th in both the 500 Free and 100 Back. We are proud of the hard work and dedication these athletes have shown to the SHS Swim program. Way to go!


Softball games this week (3/4 Guy Perkins & 3/5 Mulberry) have both been postponed due to the opposing teams advancing in the state basketball tournament.

The Jr/Sr Prom Banquet will be held on April 10, 2021, at The Barn at Sleepy Hollow in Clarksville. It will be from 6-8 p.m. It is a formal event and normal Prom attire is required. A fully catered meal will be served to celebrate the occasion. Due to the pandemic, masks/social distancing are required and there will be no dance. Wills, prophecies, senior video, Prom King/Queen and other traditional prom activities will occur.

Congratulations to the Junior Boys Basketball team on a great season! Overall record 12-3; conference record 6-1. Due to weather, we weren't able to play our District Finals game. We are Co-District Champions with Mount Vernon-Enola. Way to go, boys!

AAA has pushed back Regional and State Tournaments, allowing us to move forward with a District Tournament. The Senior Girls will play against Western Yell at Western Yell tomorrow (2/23) at 6pm. Good luck, Lady Rockets!

Reminder that the 11th grade ACT Test is this Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Juniors taking the test need to be at the safe room before 8 am to get signed in and ready to test. There will be no late admissions into the testing room.
HOK food boxes are still available in the St. Ignatius Church parking lot. If you or someone you know could use one, please go by and pick one up if you can get there safely!
Due to the extreme weather and road conditions, Scranton Schools will remain closed the rest of the week (2/18-2/19). These will be snow days. The safe room is open if anyone needs a warm place to take shelter. HOK has food boxes and milk available for pick up in the St. Ignatius Church parking lot if you can safely make it. Stay warm, we will see everyone back next week!!
