SHS Senior Night will be this Friday (2/11) at 5:30 p.m. prior to the senior high games against County Line. Games begin at 6 p.m.
Senior high games Tuesday (2/8) in Oark start time is now 5 p.m.
Junior boys advance in district tournament play. Next game is Monday (2/7) at 7 p.m. Bus will leave the gym at 4:45 p.m.

February Calendar
Due to the weather conditions, Scranton School District will be closed again tomorrow, February 4, 2022. This will be another AMI day. Students will continue to work on packets sent home or check for additional work on Google Classroom. Basketball games scheduled at Guy Perkins have been canceled. Stay safe and warm!
Scranton School District will pivot to AMI learning for Thursday, February 3, 2022, due to incoming inclement weather. Students will have AMI packets sent home with them or assignments will be posted on Google Classroom to complete. In the event we must remain out of school on Friday, an announcement will be made as early as possible.
Basketball games and Senior Night scheduled Thursday night against Western Yell County have been canceled. An announcement regarding Senior Night will be made as soon as other arrangements have been confirmed.

Junior High District Tournament
Junior high district is scheduled to begin on Saturday, February 5, at Mount Vernon-Enola. Junior girls will play Nemo Vista at 5 p.m. Junior boys will play Guy Perkins at 6 p.m. The bus will leave school on Saturday at 2:45 p.m. Good luck, Junior Rockets!
Scranton School District WILL allow deliveries on Valentine's Day. No glass or balloons will be allowed on the school bus. Please do not send these items if your child will be riding the bus home from school. All deliveries must be made to the building offices. No deliveries will be made directly to the classrooms. We appreciate your understanding!

Dec/Jan Rise Above Rocket: Gabe Ballard
Gabe is in the third grade at Scranton Elementary. He was nominated by Allison Riddell. Mrs. Riddell said that Gabe is such a sweet student and classmate to have. Gabe always volunteers to help a classmate or teacher out if he sees they need something. He uses his manners and is always very respectful. Gabe always works really hard in class and tries his best in all he does.

Sarah is in the third grade at Scranton Elementary. She was nominated by Allison Riddell. Mrs. Riddell said that Sarah is always well behaved, uses her manners, and strives to do good both inside and outside of the classroom. Mrs. Riddell also said that Sarah is a good friend to others and a joy to have in class.

Marisa Blaschke and Joseph Blaschke were guest speakers in 8th grade today to talk about medical ethics for our The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks unit. Thank you for sharing your medical field knowledge with our students.
