Rise Above Rocket is a nomination program where if a teacher or staff member sees a student doing a βrise aboveβ action or goes above and beyond inside or outside of the classroom, they can be nominated to receive an award and recognition. Sadie Canada, Chloe Johnson, Grayson Scalf, Raedon Hollingsworth (not pictured), and Skylah Brinley were August and Septemberβs chosen students.
Sadie Canada was nominated by Amy Schluterman. Amy said, βSadie always listens and follows directions. She completes work on time and is respectful of others when she's finished.β Sadie enjoys gymnastics and enjoys it because she gets to try new things. She enjoys Scranton because everyone is nice and she can trust them.
Chloe Johnson was nominated by Cameron Kremer. Cameron said, βChloe has been saving her money to purchase water bottles for students who did not bring theirs to school. She is always on task in class, offering to help others, and offers each day to help with the trash cans in the room so that the custodianβs job is a little easier. Sheβs an all around amazing kiddo.β Chloe enjoys reading and drawing. She enjoys going to Scranton to see her best friends and seeing all of the teachers.
Grayson Scalf was nominated by Rebecca Turner. Rebecca said, βGrayson is always looking for ways to be a good friend to classmates, helping without them asking, encouraging them, and being polite. He is also always attentive and engaged in learning. Grayson gives his best all day, everyday!β Grayson enjoys having friends over and playing football. Graysonβs favorite thing about Scranton is having recess and going to lunch.
Raedon Hollingsworth was nominated by Sarah Schluterman. Sarah said, βRaeden is a constant every single day inside or outside our class. She constantly gets brags from other teachers and is a friend to literally any student who is down and needs a smile. She always tries her hardest and is always doing what's right; which to me means a lot to me. I feel like we have so many great students, and I feel that it's her time to shine! Raedon enjoys going to the water park and hanging out with her family. She likes going to Scranton Elementary because everyone is nice and her friends go there.
Skylah Brinley was nominated by Greta Strobel. Greta said, βSkylah continues to help Braizon on the bus daily. She keeps him safe and helps him exit the bus every afternoon.β Skylah enjoys hanging out with family and enjoys Scranton because she gets to meet new people, see awesome teachers, and learn new things.
Congratulations, Rise Above Rockets!
