SHS Rocket Swimmer, Isabel Shelton, competed in the 4A-1A West Conference Championship Meet in Clarksville on Feb 9. She is the 2023 Girl's Champion in the 200 Individual Medley and the Girl's Runner-Up in the 100 Backstroke. Isabel earned All-Conference honors and qualified to compete at the State Championship Meet in Texarkana on Feb 25. Congratulations, Isabel! Good luck at State!
Congratulations to the Junior Lady Rockets and Junior Rockets, both advancing to the District Tournament finals on Saturday. Lady Rockets will play at 4pm, followed by the Rockets at 5:15pm at Guy Perkins.

Scranton School District is excited to announce that River Valley Ingredients and Tyson Foods have generously donated $80,000 toward the purchase and installation of new chairback bleacher seating for the SHS Rocket fans in Rocket Arena. Josh McClelland, a Senior Vice President and General Manager with Tyson Ingredient Solutions has partnered with them with an additional $5,000 donation, for a total of $85,000 to go toward this wonderful cause. We appreciate their generosity immensely!

The Scranton School Board of Education meeting for February has been moved to Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Meetings are at 6:30 p.m. in the elementary library.
Our Rise Above Rocket for the month of January is 3rd grader, Kyler Canada! His teachers are Sarah Schluterman and Allison Riddell. He was chosen because he always gives his best effort in everything he does. Whether it is in the classroom, cafeteria or the playground, he is constantly modeling amazing behavior!
