SHS Rocket Baseball


Students attended the Hands on Healthcare event co-hosted by UAMS and Arkansas Tech University β Ozark campus on Thursday, March 9th. While on campus, students were able to perform hands-on activities to explore a variety of health careers. Students did have to apply for this program, and only 45 were chosen to attend. The following students attended: DeLaney Mainer, Trinity Ezell, and Terra Huber.


Students attended the Pat Walker Mini-Education Conference at the University of the Ozarks on Monday, 3/13. The students had the opportunity to talk with U of O alumni in the education field, talk to current education majors, and sign to commit to pursuing a degree in education. Haleigh Johnson has committed to the University of the Ozarks to study Art Education. Mackenzie Arthur, Zoey Willhite, and Angel Richardson also committed to furthering their education. Thank you University of the Ozarks for hosting this event!




On March 14th, Mrs. Dixon and Mrs. Wewer took students to tour the Operations Center of Bank OZK in Ozark. Students gained an insight into banking operations such as mobile banking, verifications, IRAs, items processing, and much more. They also learned about job opportunities, as well as the importance of having computer skills and the knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office products.


Spring Break!


Cold day of track in Booneville!!! Peyton Jones got 4th in the 800 and the 2 mile. He also got 5th in the 400. Phoenix Mertin got 6th in the 2 mile. Way to go, Rockets!


Congratulations to Elizabeth Cauthron and Elysia Cox for receiving their certifications as Microsoft PowerPoint Specialist in Mrs. Dixonβs Survey of Business class!
