Mrs. Hammer's first grade class had special guest, Jamison Fritsche, read to them for Dr. Seuss week!


Tomorrow is dress like a book character day!! Elementary students dressed up will be in the book parade at 10:30 Friday morning. They will parade through the elementary and then through the high school. Cannot wait to see all the characters!!

February Rise Above Rocket: Corbin Green
Corbin Green is in the second grade at Scranton Elementary School. He was nominated by his teacher Athena Harrison. Mrs. Harrison said, βCorbin is very polite, respectful, and works hard. He is the first one to offer help to a classmate and goes above and beyond to be a good friend to others.β

Februaryβs Rise Above Rocket: Bentley Koenigseder
Bentley Koenigseder is in the third grade at Scranton Elementary School. He was nominated by his teacher Angela Jones. Mrs. Jones said, βBentley has been working hard every day in class. He always does his best and is willing to help others around him.β

Great job readers! The elementary has a total of 3150 minutes for the read-a-thon and itβs just the 2nd day! And congrats to Kasidon for having the most minutes logged so far!!

Scranton High School Juniors, will take The ACT Assessment tomorrow, March 1, 2022 in the safe room. The test will begin at 8 am. There will be no late admittance into the test. Please remind your student to get lots of sleep and eat a good breakfast!!

Congratulations to SHS Rocket swimmer, Isabel Shelton. She placed 6th today in the 500 Freestyle at the 4A-1A State Swim and Dive Championships in Texarkana. Way to go!

The junior high practice track meet at Clarksville on Monday, Feb 28, has been canceled.
Scranton School District will be closed again on Friday, February 25, 2022, due to inclement weather/road conditions. This will be an AMI day. Elementary students, finish up the AMI packets sent home with you earlier in the week. High school students will have assignments in Google Classroom. Anyone having questions regarding their assignments may email their teacher. Stay warm!
