Congratulations to one of SHS's math teachers, Mrs. Kimberly Griffin, on being awarded the Arkansas High School Teacher of the Year 2021-2022 by the Oklahoma-Arkansas Section of the Mathematical Association of America. Mrs. Griffin does an outstanding job and we are proud she is a Rocket!

Congratulations to Tyler Schroeder for finishing first in the 400, Mattie Roper for finishing second in shot and third in disc, and to Phoenix Mertin for finishing third in the two-mile. Way to represent the Rockets at the senior high meet in Clarksville yesterday!

9th and 10th grades will being ACT Aspire testing tomorrow morning, Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

The buses will be leaving school a few minutes early today. Expect your child to be home 15 minutes earlier than normal. If you usually meet the bus somewhere to pick your child up, please be there at least 15 minutes earlier than normal. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Due to a funeral service being held today (4/18) at 2 p.m. in the gym, we are changing up the dismissal routine for HIGH SCHOOL only. Student drivers and high school walkers will dismiss at 2:30 today. Bus riders will dismiss at 2:50. HIGH SCHOOL car riders will dismiss at the normal 3:10. Parents picking up HIGH SCHOOL students will need to park east of the agri building near the baseball field and bus garage for today. ELEMENTARY routine WILL NOT change today. If you have any questions, contact the office.

SHS Rocket baseball will travel to County Line today for a conference matchup at 4:30 p.m.


Scranton School District will be making up a snow day on Good Friday, April 15, 2022. School WILL be in session.

The SHS Rocket baseball game against Mulberry has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at Scranton.

Dates for state assessments. Do not schedule any kind of appointment for your student on testing days. Please plan to have your student at school, well rested and ready to test!

Congratulations to the senior high track team on their success at the Mansfield meet yesterday. Tyler Schroeder placed first in the 400 and prequalified for state. The 4x400 team placed first. Mattie Roper was third in shotput. Peyton Jones came in third in the mile. Way to represent, Rockets!!
