February is Career and Technical Education month! We have extremely knowledgeable CTE teachers who encourage students to explore their individual interests and introduce them to a variety of careers within those fields! Thank you, SHS CTE teachers!

Parent/Teacher Conferences THIS Thursday!
The Rockets will head to the District Tournament this week hosted by Sacred Heart. Games will be played at the Morrilton Devil Dog Arena.
The Lady Rockets will play on Tuesday 2/13 @ 4:30 p.m.
The Rockets received a first round bye and advance to the semi-finals on Thursday 2/15 @ 5:45 p.m.

SHS FBLA competed at the District I Conference today in Fort Smith. 17 students placed and have qualified to attend the State Conference in Little Rock on April 29th & 30th. Way to make Scranton shine today, Future Business Leaders of America!
The monthly school board meeting this month will be on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. in the elementary library.

A copy of the questions can be viewed by the parents; however, student responses will be anonymous. Scranton Elementary School is hosting a Read-a-thon this year!
Read-a-thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more.
Our Read-a-thon starts Monday February 26, 2024.
About one week before our Read-a-thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.

We've chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.
