The University of the Ozarks hosted their Pat Walker Mini-Education Conference on Wednesday, March 13th. This event was specifically designed for students who plan to pursue an education career. The Scranton students who attended this conference were able to speak to current Education students at the U of O, try their hand at some lesson planning, and learn what Ozarks Outdoors has to offer. The students also heard from Alumni who have gone into the Education field. At the end of the conference, Scranton students signed their commitment to pursue Education!

π Exciting News Alert! π
Thrilled to share that Magean Warnock from the Arkansas Department of Child and Family Serviceβs human trafficking and missing persons division recently visited Scranton High to educate our students in grades 7-12 about a crucial topic: human trafficking awareness. ππ
The program was incredibly insightful, covering vital aspects like recognizing signs, how to report, and the dangers lurking on social media platforms. It's imperative for our young minds to be informed and empowered to stay safe in today's digital world.
Huge thanks to Magean Warnock and the ADCFS team for their dedication to spreading awareness and keeping our community safe. Let's continue to stay vigilant and support each other in this important cause! πͺ #HumanTraffickingAwareness #StaySafe #ScrantonHighSchool #CommunityFirst π
