2024 SHS Prom King and Queen!
Scranton students attended the Hands On Healthcare event held at ATU-Ozark on Thursday, April 18th. This one-day event, hosted by UAMS West, allowed students to have hands-on experiences and speak with professionals in a variety of healthcare careers. Students learned about nursing, PTA’s, OTA’s, EMT/Paramedics, Medical Assisting, and Cardiac Sonography.
Mrs. Clayborn's chemistry students are exploring the effect of factors like temperature on the rates of chemical reactions. Students observed this concept in action by placing glow sticks in hot and cold water to see the difference in how quickly the reaction proceeded. The faster reaction in hot water compared to cold provided a clear demonstration of temperature's role in chemical reactions. Way to go, students!
