Basketball season is just around the corner! Season will kick off next Thursday, Oct 11, with the Purple/Gold games!! Booster club picnic/meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. for all athletes and parents, followed by the games at 6:30! Go Rockets!!

Yearbook staff will be taking basketball pictures on Wed, Sept 19. All basketball players need to bring uniform for pictures. For parents interested in ordering a picture, info will be sent out at a later date!

The Connect 4 Tournament wrapped up today in the high school library with Izabell Murray as the champion!
Calling all Rocket walkers/runners!! 7th annual John Brewster 5k is October 13 at 8AM. Mr. Cook is challenging all school age kids to come walk with me. Entry fee is only $10 all proceeds go toward scholarships for our seniors and if you bring your form back by next Friday you get a free race shirt. Turn forms and money in at either school office. I will need help making the whole 5k!!!
SHS Beta Club is sponsoring a "Flocking a Friend" fundrasier. A "flock" of flamingos migrate from yard to yard each evening. If you would like to have a friend flocked, contact Mrs. Warren (swarren@scrantonrockets.net) or a Beta member! $10 for 10 birds, $20 for 20 birds!
Career Day for seniors at University of the Ozarks will be on Mon, Sept 17. Lunch will be provided.
