Scranton Fire Dept brought a fire truck and talked to the K-2 students today about fire safety for Fire Prevention Week. The highlight is seeing how far the water will spray from the truck!

October is anti bullying month! Be an Upstander not a Bystander..... Junior/Senior mentors met with 7th graders yesterday to discuss how to be an Upstander and stop bullying. Thank you to Mrs. Cook for facilitating the program.
Mrs. Davis's 1st grade class had a guest reader last week. Her son, Airman Lane Cochran, read with the students and spent time with them in the classroom. Cochran is stationed in Grand Forks, ND. He is US Air Force, Security Forces and just completed training at Lackland Airforce Base in San Antonio, TX.
Annual Public Meeting/Report to the Public is scheduled during our monthly board meeting on Wednesday, October 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the elementary library. All patrons of the district are welcome!

Congratulations to the SHS Boys Golf team for placing in top 4 in the State Golf Tournament held at Mountain Ranch Golf Club at Fairfield Bay! Also, congrats to Caden Cook for being selected for the All State Golf Team!
