Congratulations to the students making first nine weeks honor roll at Scranton Elementary!
Scranton High School was one of four schools in Arkansas named a Wise Blue Star School for 2018-2019. To earn this award, a school must achieve 80% passing rate on the Financial Literacy Certification Test and have either a majority of students on a given grade level take the test or achieve a minimum average score of 85%. Congratulations to Mrs. Judy Martin and the 10-12 grade students in last years Financial Literacy class on a job well done!
Elementary School parents...Next week will be Red Ribbon Week and Homecoming week combined. The celebration days at the elementary school will be as follows.
Monday-Red Out Day (Dress your kids from head to toe in red to show solidarity in the fight against drugs)
Tuesday- Camo Day.
Wednesday- Pajama Day
Thursday- Hawaiian Day
Friday- Spirit Day (Dress head to toe in Purple and Gold)
Please leave the face paint at home. Hats and other appropriate items will be allowed during the week.
Due to the weather forecast, the Family Fun Day scheduled for this Saturday has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date!

Mrs. Harrison’s Class won the first spirit stick. They get to add a decoration to the spirit stick, and they get to sit as a class and sport the spirit stick at the next home basketball game on 10/29 against Wonderview. They also got to have the Cheerleaders come to their class and read to them. I love seeing the High Schoolers take an active role with the kids. #GoRockets

Tomorrow is the Purple and Gold Game, and the Elementary School will have a contest to see which class has the most school spirit. Each week the class with the most school spirit will get to add a decoration to the spirit stick. Our contest starts tomorrow and will be each Friday through the end of the year. Dress your kids in purple and gold tomorrow. #GoRockets
