Identification Process

Scranton School District believes that identifying giftedness is a complex and multi-faceted process that requires multiple sources of information in the decision process. All second grade students are screened and/or tested. Other students in grades three through twelfth may be nominated for participation in gifted services by teachers, counselors, administrators, parents, other family members, community members, peers, or themselves.
